"Life drawing with a model has always enriched my practice. In these short sessions, I let myself experiment and play, without worrying too much about the outcome. Many of the choices I make, or even the mistakes that happen, often find their way into my paintings or sculptures later on.
That’s why I see these sketches not as something separate, but as the seeds of my work. They carry the beginnings of ideas and techniques that grow into everything else I create."
